THIS IS A DEMO
STORY:
An entirely unknown threat has descended on your people and diminished your population from 10 billion to nearly nothing in 4 short weeks. This is your extinction event.
You, Empress Asa, refuse to accept this.
But, you're about to be overrun...
GAMEPLAY:
-Traditional, turn based combat.
-Puzzles. Although not present in the demo, the final version will sport puzzles in between combat.
-2 (sort of) endings. ("But wait-" I hear you ask. "This is just the start of the story. How are there 2 endings already?" You'll see what I mean when you play it.)
-1 hidden, collectable doll.
Total play time: 15 - 25 minutes.
DEMO and Kickstarter:
This is a demo. I plan to kickstart the final version. Follow me on YouTube and/or my Discord server if you would like to be informed when the kickstarter for this game begins!
This game shares the same universe as Ara and the Empty Universe and Our way down.
UPDATE 1.1: July 23, 2022.
-Fixed sequence break that occurs if you go to the town's East hub before clearing out the center.
-Day 1 update, yaaaaaaaay.
UPDATE 1.13: August 2, 2022.
-Accidentally left dev door in! AAAAAAAAAH! Fixed now.
Update 1.2: January 2, 2023 (Big demo update)
-Entirely revamped combat.
-New Trooper variant sprites.
-New enemy in-combat sprites.
-Added ambient sounds and an additional soundtrack.
-Slight dialogue re-works.
-Asa's attack sound effect has been changed. (Tested the old sound with headphones, it sounded pretty not-good. This one should be better.)
Update 1.21: January 2, 2023 (3 hours later lol)
-Fixed sequence break that can occur early on.
-Fixed issue where Troops can vanish early on.

gonna play the shit out of this game.
Things I like about this demo:
I like the beginning of it and their battles ! it's a good use of the rpg fighting mechanic in the engine. The characters look cool.
Things to consider for the full release:
just make sure you try to balance between the horror and rpg action otherwise the horror aspect of it will be gone or the rpg fighting mechanic will just be a tease. it is very tricky and sometimes feel unbalanced in most of the games that I played with before. so you need to be careful not to make things too easy or too frustration. try to somehow balance it with having people play test it in the future. this last one might just be my opinion but don't too quickly or suddenly jump in the story without answering it at the end it will give bad after taste in the player's mouth.
Also DON'T SCRAP ANYTHING REUSE AND RECYCLE YOUR IDEAS but for that one it's ok since it's just a demo. :/
This that I would like to see in the full release:
I hope we can see some easter eggs of the other previous game you developed in this one because seeing ara easter egg in "Our way down" really was something nice to see.
